Safety tips
- Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours.
- Under 6 months: may dose every 4–6 hours as needed.
- Over 6 months: dose every 6 hours as needed.
- Alternating acetaminophen and ibuprofen every 3 hours (offset by 3 h) can improve fever and pain control — ask your pediatrician.
- All liquids on this page share the same 160 mg / 5 mL concentration — they are interchangeable.
- Keep a log of medication, time, and dose to prevent accidental repeat dosing.
- Seek care for any infant under 2 months with fever, or for fever lasting more than 3 days in older children.
