When allergy symptoms are an emergency
Administer Epinephrine and Call 911 immediately if you notice any of these signs after allergen exposure:
- Breathing difficulty: wheezing, stridor, throat tightness, hoarse voice, or persistent cough.
- Swelling: of the tongue, lips, or throat.
- Circulation: dizziness, fainting, sudden limpness, or pallor (especially in infants).
- System Combo: vomiting or severe abdominal pain combined with hives or breathing trouble.
- In Infants: inconsolable crying or sudden behavioral change.
